Papaver cambricum - Welsh poppy

Description

Papaver cambricum, the Welsh poppy, is a perennial flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae. This example photographed Kent, UK. June 2021.

Despite being named Meconopsis cambrica in 1814 by Louis Viguier who separated it from the Papaver genus (due to it's style+stigma) it was found in 2011 to be genetically of the Papaver genus.
